Lakeside Conference sports involve a conference season and/or end-of-the-season tournament/meet. These events are held under a like-minded philosophy that has been agreed upon by conference member schools. Lakeside Conference schools agree to play all team members during regular season contests. This is not a requirement during the post-season conference tournament.

Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA)

Deer Path is a member of the IESA for cross-country, cheerleading, wrestling, and track and field. The IESA series allows for these teams to compete in regionals, sectionals, and/or state meet. These events are primarily held on the weekend and may require some travel beyond the immediate area.

Interested in trying out for Fall Sports? Tryouts are August 27th, 28th, and 29th! Student athletes need to fill out the interest form located on their class Schoology page prior to the 3-day tryout. Students MUST also have an updated physical on file with the nurse. Please reach out with questions or concerns!

Competitive Cheer: Grades 6th - 8th Grade - Open to all athletes!

Tryouts: Spring of 2026 - The competitive tryout will include 2 Clinics and 1 Tryout Evaluation (3 separate dates)

Dates of Clinic & Tryout: TBD (after Spring Break 2026)

*If selected for the team: Summer Camps will be available for the 2026 Competitive Team (dates to be shared at tryout) - fees involved with camp participation
